Architecture

Sound as space. Listening as memory. Architecture as instrument.

Acoustic Architecture

Sound is not only something we hear.
It is something we enter.

Acoustic Architecture is an ongoing research practice by Aspekt exploring how sound, space, objects, and memory can be composed into physical experience. It begins with high-fidelity listening environments, but moves beyond the traditional language of hi-fi, interior design, or performance.

The project asks what happens when a room is treated not as a container for sound, but as an instrument. What happens when listening becomes a spatial ritual. What happens when a chair, a wall, a record, a speaker system, a curtain, or an archive is understood as part of the same emotional and architectural field.

The first public fragments of Acoustic Architecture are being shared during High End Vienna 2026 as a small printed archive kit: a non-playable record, a folded document, and a set of founding texts. These are not promotional materials in the usual sense. They are artifacts from the beginning of a larger body of work.

This archive will continue to grow through listening sessions, room studies, artist collaborations, acoustic objects, printed matter, and physical records of shared experience.

Acoustic Architecture is a way of designing environments where sound becomes architectural — reconnecting people to attention, emotion, memory, and presence through intentional space.

Participate / Collaborate / Support

Acoustic Architecture is an open and evolving body of work.

We are currently inviting conversations with artists, musicians, audio brands, designers, institutions, collectors, venues, and supporters interested in shaping new forms of listening culture.

You can participate by joining a future listening session, collaborate through a room, object, archive, or artist project, or support the development of new physical and digital fragments within the Acoustic Architecture archive.
